How to deal with the new CSRD
On January 5, 2023 the European Union's new Corporate Social Responsibility Directive (CSRD) came into force at EU level. Nearly 50,000 companies in the EU will be asked to follow detailed EU sustainability reporting standards, an increase from the 11,000 companies that are subject to the existing requirements. The CSRD also expands reporting obligations of affected companies with a wide range of topics and indicators. The effort to collect and consolidate data and information is growing, and the way sustainability information needs to be produced and communicated is changing.
"2023 is the last year to determine your company’s status quo and work towards ensuring that the 2025 reporting required by the Directive does not come as a surprise, but that the reporting and strategies are already in place.“
