Unique, not uniform: Quentic has signed the Charta der Vielfalt

October 01, 2020

  • As a signee of the Charta der Vielfalt, Quentic is striving for a future in which equal opportunity is a matter of course.
  • “When people with different backgrounds, talents and perspectives come together, that’s when we get the best results – for our customers, our team and for society,” says Markus Becker, CEO of Quentic.

Quentic has signed the Charta der Vielfalt (German Diversity Charter). In doing so, the SaaS provider for Health, Safety, Environment (EHS) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) visibly shows its support for a respectful work environment free from prejudice of any kind. Employees should be able to let all facets of their personalities flourish at work – regardless of their gender, gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, religion, worldview, disabilities, age, sexual orientation or other identities.

The Charta der Vielfalt is an initiative sponsored by Chancellor Angela Merkel to encourage diversity in companies and institutions across Germany. By signing the Charta, Quentic affirms its commitment to a workplace culture characterized by respect and appreciation and also announces its intention to review its personnel processes to ensure that the diverse abilities and talents of all its employees are being put to use. The company will also incorporate the topic of diversity into its internal and external dialogues and send an annual report of its progress to the initiative.

“When people with different backgrounds, talents and perspectives come together, that’s when we get the best results – for our customers, our team and for society. A strong culture of equality is a win for everybody. At Quentic, no one has to hide their identity when the walk in the door. We have diverse teams with various personalities, ideas and ways of implementing them. Diversity is a driving force for innovation and growth, and gives us a decisive competitive edge,” says Markus Becker, CEO of Quentic.

The software and services provider for EHS and CSR has lived out the basic principles of the Charta der Vielfalt since its founding in 2007. Diversity and mutual respect are deeply embedded in Quentic’s mission statement: “We value versatility and multiple perspectives. We do not judge based on ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation – and we do not tolerate discrimination in any form!”
